"We will launch a cellphone with the G90T chipset that has outstanding performance. Get ready for the best gaming experience !," Jain said on his Twitter account.
However, he did not reveal more Redmi series what would be equipped with the Helio G90T chipset. However, according to Jain, the Mediatek Helio G90T chipset can boost the performance of the phones it supports.
He then added that cellphones powered by the Helio G90T chipset can get an AnTuTu score of more than 220,000. This figure is not much different from the AnTuTu benchmark score on phones powered by the Snapdragon 730 or Kirin 810 chipset.

Speaking of the Helio G90T, the Mediatek-made chipset has an octa-core CPU configuration with a maximum clock speed of 2.05 GHz, and is matched with a Mali-G76 3EEMC4 graphics processor (GPU) that has speeds up to 800 MHz.
Other specifications include support for LPDDR4X RAM models up to 10GB capacity (speeds up to 2,133 MHz), quad-camera configurations up to 64 megapixels (main camera), and "HyperEngine" support features to maximize the gaming experience.
